This blog is created to regularly report on the course project for IFT6266 – Representation learning. This years’ project will revolve around a recent kaggle competition with the goal to classify whether an image contains a cat or a dog.
I will mostly report on experimental results, implementation issues, and general ideas to improve performance. For training of my neural networks I will use python in combination with the excellent toolbox Theano and machine learning research library Pylearn2.
